Since childhood, Raj was inspired by the art and creativity in Rug making. His interest grew multifold by learning about the journey and experience of his father, MKC, in the rug industry. Raj realized his dream to carry on his father's legacy at a global level and thus Amer Rugs was established in Atlanta, USA. With an approach of "Creativity and Innovation Everyday" Raj, in a very small timespan, was able to transform Amer Rugs into a very trusted brand that offers rugs in quality and aesthetically appealing designs.
With a degree in International Business Management from Georgia State University, he understood the need of modernization of business along with maintaining the traditional form of the art. He developed strategy and expanded the business globally with a store in the US and online presence. This helped in rapid growth in the product portfolio as well.

At Amer Rugs, we have every process in house, We call it "Sheep to Ship" .
All our rugs are exquisitely designed by our inhouse team of creative designers. high quality material like wool and silk is sourced in raw form, carded, spun and dyed in our inhouse dyeing facility and brought to life by one of our skillful weaver from a strong team of 10k+ who have a rich legacy of this art form which have been passed down from generation to generation over hundreds of years.
