Back in 1978, a young man from Churu, a small town in the state of Rajasthan, India, with dreams to uplift the rural community of artisans and weavers, and with a determination to create a mark in the Rug and Carpet Industry, started his journey with just two looms and today Mahesh Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman, Saraswati Global Pvt. Ltd. is a global leader and a recognized name in the Rug and Carpet Industry. Fondly called MKC by his friends and colleagues alike, he has adopted and continues to work with the legacy approach which has helped to bloom the traditional form of rug making and helped more than 10k+ weavers in sustainable, growing and respectful lives.
With 45+ years of experience, he still gets amazed with intricate patterns and designs. This excitement, undying spirit and perseverance of MKC motivates everyone associated with him to put in their best. He is the driving force behind every project in Saraswati Global and has achieved multiple milestones in his journey.
Since childhood, Raj was inspired by the art and creativity in Rug making. His interest grew multifold by learning about the journey and experience of his father, MKC, in the rug industry. Raj realized his dream to carry on his father's legacy at a global level and thus Amer Rugs was established in Atlanta, USA. With an approach of "Creativity and Innovation Everyday" Raj, in a very small timespan, was able to transform Amer Rugs into a very trusted brand that offers rugs in quality and aesthetically appealing designs.
With a degree in International Business Management from Georgia State University, he understood the need of modernization of business along with maintaining the traditional form of the art. He developed strategy and expanded the business globally with a store in the US and online presence. This helped in rapid growth in the product portfolio as well.
Raj actively supports the CSR activities through Saraswati Global Foundation.

All our rugs are exquisitely designed by our inhouse team of creative designers. high quality material like wool and silk is sourced in raw form, carded, spun and dyed in our inhouse dyeing facility and brought to life by one of our skillful weaver from a strong team of 10k+ who have a rich legacy of this art form which have been passed down from generation to generation over hundreds of years.
